Adults and advanced students

Start at any age, at any fitness level

From complete beginners to competitive black belts, training at your own pace.

Force of One black belts of all ages standing together in the dojang beneath the American and Korean flags

Most adults who walk in have never done a martial art, and a fair number have not trained seriously at anything in years. That is the normal starting point here, not the exception. You will not be thrown into sparring on day one, and nobody expects you to keep up with a teenager.

What you get is a real curriculum with a real standard: forms, technique, conditioning and — when you want it — sparring. Progress is measured in belts, so there is something concrete to work toward instead of an open-ended gym membership.

Master Brian teaches this class alongside life skills, and has done for 19 years. Advanced students train in the same room, which sounds intimidating and turns out to be the opposite: the people correcting your technique actually know what correct looks like.
