Where the youngest students start

First steps in Taekwondo — focus, coordination and confidence, taught by Master Silvia.

Young Force of One students lined up in white dobok with their instructors, under the American and Korean flags

Little Dragons is built for children who are ready to start training but not ready for a full-length adult class. Sessions run an hour, twice a week, with a lot of variety — because a young child learns best before they have time to get bored.

The physical skills come first: balance, coordination, kicking and blocking. But the reason most parents notice a difference is the other half — standing still when asked, waiting for a turn, looking an adult in the eye and answering clearly. Those carry straight into a classroom.

Master Silvia runs this class. She has taught youth Taekwondo for 19 years, holds a 5th Dan registered with Kukkiwon in Seoul, and is a USA Taekwondo Level-1 Coach — and she is a registered cardiac ICU nurse, which is not something most schools can say about the person on the mat with your six-year-old.
